Now for my planned blog post for today. I cheated a little, because I had these items on Ai, but really wanted to use Tatsurou, so I copied his shape over to my main account. It’s not really Tatsurou, but I’m going to pretend for the day.

Today, I’ve got Tatsurou in this beautiful .:Ducknipple:. Mesh Buttoned jacket. I love this style on guys, so I was super excited to be able to put my favourite male avatar in it. This jacket comes with a hud to allow you to change to multiple colours, but as usual, I end up in monochrome. Available in five sizes, the mesh is cut wonderfully for larger or smaller male avatars. I have a hard time fitting my admittedly very slim male avatars into some mesh, but had no problems with this. The texture is clean and sharp. The undershirt and buttons are such nice touches! I wish I had this on Tatsurou’s actual account, because I would never take him out of it!

The jeans are 20.FIVE Male jeans, non-mesh and perfect to go with your mesh tops to minimize clashing. They actually look like they could be mesh, despite being clothing layers and prim cuffs, so I imagine my male avatars will be wearing these quite a lot!

Well, I couldn’t make Tatsurou 2.0 look just like the original, but I think he looks okay! Now I can use him if I desperately need to model some items on Ai’s account.

my shangri-la

Miss Strawberry Singh’s meme really did come in handy. I totally procrastinated on the outfit post until today! (Actually, I had some minor RL issues, but that is totally beside the point.) I’ve been thinking about what I would do with this post since I first tried on the demo of the dress I just knew I was going to buy.

Emi alerted me to erratic’s sale and we popped over there to see what we could find. Although a lot of the clothing was gorgeous, this dress, Lindsay, really stood out to me. I’ve been looking for something like this dress for a while now, but never dreamed I would find it in a shop like this.

erratic has some of the most gorgeous mesh textures I’ve seen in game. The clothing is a bit on the spendy side for me, as I don’t have a lot of lindens to burn, but it is %300 worth the price. Speaking of the price tag: there’s a huge sale going on there right now until the end of the month, so if you fall in love with something like I did, make sure to pop in there and grab it before April!

i hear a distant voice

I am not the kind of person who likes to look like or be one thing all of the time. I need to change every now and again, and always be able to go back to my previous look if I want to. (Which is why I can never settle on a hair cut, maybe?) I have many different outfits, hair colours, and avatars which I like to be every now and again to break up the monotony. This is Second Life, after all, and if I want to be a cat, all I need to do is put on a folder!

With that in mind, I have someone I would like you all to meet today.

This is Tatsurou. He is one of my male avatars, although not just a male shape. Tatsurou is actually a separate account that I made around the time I made Ai. I don’t have many items on him, since I have male avatars on Ai’s account and tend to collect them there, but he is close to my heart. I intend to start collecting on him as well and using him in a few of my posts.

As with all of my shapes, he is a custom from Emi. He doesn’t have much on him inventory wise right now, but I did pick up something today that I’m excited about getting totally free.

The Envious group gift for guys in March is this mesh skull shirt. Coming in five standard sizes, Tatsurou fits into extra small. The texture is great and I’m excited to see Envious making mesh for men, since I love their women’s clothing so much.

I have yet to look at the rest of their men’s section in detail, but I’m sure I’ll find a lot of really nice things I’m going to have to purchase, and unfortunately purchase in double. (So not looking forward to that!)

I’m really at a loss on where else to find quality men’s items at this time. I’m just not sure which shops cater to men, and especially at prices I can afford. If anyone has any suggestions for me, please, leave me a comment!
