more than the past
Inventory organization is really tough! I’ve been trying to tackle my monstrous mess for the last couple of days, and as a result, I haven’t had the time to sort through items to blog. I’ve been trying to keep from buying new things, too, in the hope that I will keep from adding to this huge pile of things that need properly placed.
Instead, while taking a break from (read: avoiding) organizing, I decided to go through some old snapshots I’d taken. I really wanted to post, but had nothing, so I thought maybe I should try to recreate an old snapshot for the blog. I might make a habit of this for those times when I desperately need to post and can’t find just the right thing to blog.
Now, it’s back to work for Ai. Hopefully upcoming: something shiny and new!

I am not the kind of person who likes to look like or be one thing all of the time. I need to change every now and again, and always be able to go back to my previous look if I want to. (Which is why I can never settle on a hair cut, maybe?) I have many different outfits, hair colours, and avatars which I like to be every now and again to break up the monotony. This is Second Life, after all, and if I want to be a cat, all I need to do is put on a folder!
With that in mind, I have someone I would like you all to meet today.
This is Tatsurou. He is one of my male avatars, although not just a male shape. Tatsurou is actually a separate account that I made around the time I made Ai. I don’t have many items on him, since I have male avatars on Ai’s account and tend to collect them there, but he is close to my heart. I intend to start collecting on him as well and using him in a few of my posts.
As with all of my shapes, he is a custom from Emi. He doesn’t have much on him inventory wise right now, but I did pick up something today that I’m excited about getting totally free.
The Envious group gift for guys in March is this mesh skull shirt. Coming in five standard sizes, Tatsurou fits into extra small. The texture is great and I’m excited to see Envious making mesh for men, since I love their women’s clothing so much.
I have yet to look at the rest of their men’s section in detail, but I’m sure I’ll find a lot of really nice things I’m going to have to purchase, and unfortunately purchase in double. (So not looking forward to that!)
I’m really at a loss on where else to find quality men’s items at this time. I’m just not sure which shops cater to men, and especially at prices I can afford. If anyone has any suggestions for me, please, leave me a comment!

Welcome to my blog. This is my inaugural post! There isn’t a lot for me to say, as I’m still learning both my blog service and Second Life. If you’d like to know more about me, feel free to visit my “about” page, which will probably, at some point, contain some information. Now, on to my post.
My Second Life experience is made up almost entirely of freebies. I don’t have a lot of extra money to spend on the grid, so I snatch up a lot of those freebies and dollarbies that the kind creators provide for us. I make a point to go back and spend or donate into stores, but since I don’t always have the lindens on hand, it’s great to find freebies in the meantime. The moral of the story is, if you don’t have a fortune in lindens, don’t worry! You can look great without spending a lot of money.
I spend a great deal of time hunting. October seems to be a good month for hunts; with Halloween coming up, there are a ton of fun events centered around the holiday. One such is the sim-wide hunt at the Envious Mainstore. They’ve hidden 60 little ghosts with prizes in various places around the sim, which is beautifully decorated for Halloween. I have to say that finding all of these little guys was a chore, but it was definitely worth it! I intend to show off a few of the prizes, but for this post, I’ll start small and show off two of my favourites.
This outfit is held by the first little ghost of the bunch. It’s a complete outfit, from the hat to the shoes. I love everything about this cute little number. The hat, like all hats, is a bit tricky with hair, but that’s to be expected. The coat, corset, skirt, and leg warmers are great. The shoes are heels that come with a skin colour hud, to help you get a perfect match to your usual tone. Even the skirt prim, which I often have problems with given my shape, was no fuss at all. I edited it upwards and it disappeared right into my skirt.
My second item is actually my current skin. Ghost number 55 gave this one up, and I was quite pleased. It’s a fair skin tone with faded white streaks on the cheeks. The lips are a pale pink, but the star of this skin is definitely the eye makeup. Unfortunately, you can’t see it well in my example, oops! The eyes are dark lined and beautifully painted with purple and blue shadow, topped with purple brows, and lots of drama. I loved it with my mostly black outfit, however this could be used in a lot of fun pictures, and I look forward to putting it to good use soon!
With such a big hunt, the Envious Halloween hunt has a little something that’s sure to please everyone. It runs all month long, so be sure to get down there and get it done before then! There will be more posts about this hunt to come.
